Harlequin is a master swordsman with his enchanted and personalized rapier but that isn't what makes him most dangerous. He has a power called "mental teleportation". Harlequin can literally teleport into someones metaphysical mind and kill them there.
When he uses this ability, the target falls unconscious and winds up fighting Harlequin on the "thought plane". This effectively strips targets of extra weapons, leaving them with only their mind and some powers to fight back. If Harlequin is successful, his target is left a "vegetable", never to recover.
Harlequin also has astral travel and dream control abilities. With dream control he can control what sleeping people dream about. He can even invoke waking dreams to confuse targets.
Harlequin is a fairly sadistic killer and gets great joy in using his powers. He's also slightly insane.
